Goldfinch - Black Mountain

We ordered takeout in the time of Covid, I would love to come back and eat on their adorable patio. The food was amazing and they went out of their way to ensure everything was vegan and noted as such. Several vegan protein options. The Cuban bowl was amazing, hope to try the Bahn Mi bowl next

I love goldfinch! The tofu is the best, the staff is awesome and the atmosphere is so cute!

The menu is quite small, which I appreciated. I often struggle with indecision when faced with an overly extensive menu, but here, the limited options felt well-curated rather than overwhelming, with each dish being distinctly different. If I could offer some constructive criticism, it would be to incorporate a bit more seasonal flavor, perhaps a touch more salt and some crumbling textures in the dishes. My friend’s tofu dish, unfortunately, wasn't great; the sauce was too salty to enjoy, and the tofu was cut into tiny squares that were over-fried and crumbled easily. Despite that, I had a wonderful experience overall and could tell that they use high-quality ingredients, which I truly appreciate. Thank you!
