The Oyster Club By Adam Stokes

I was rather disappointed with this place. Maybe I was expecting too much but a few things just made the experience a bit ‘meh’. It didn’t help that we were sat at the bar, it was 1 outside, and the entrance had (very slow) sliding doors that meant we were cold for most of the evening. We ordered oysters and then mussels small thing but it was disappointing that the warm mussel dish arrived before the oysters. Just a bit odd. The weirdest thing, though, was the triple cooked chips which were covered in vinegar. No mention of this on the menu, and not particularly nice. That said, the wine was fine (albeit the vintages aren’t listed on the menu), the staff were pleasant and the food (esp the pumpkin risotto and lamb) were lovely. I guess, when I sit at a bar, I want interaction, I want food in order, I want fab wine, and I want to be warm! I’m sure this was probably one of those anomaly nights. Totally amazing visit. You can tell it's a Michelin star place as soon as you walk in. Staff are fantastic but food was amazing. Certainly visit again...and again Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

4* restaurant. Best option for a range of seafood dishes, ironically pork chop is phenomenal. Served oysters with chipped shells big no no ! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I was looking forward to taking my wife here. She likes sea food so sounded perfect place for her birthday. Unfortunately it was not great. We had the cold plater to share and the hot plater to share. Not cheap but special treat. The lobster was burnt. Tasted of charcoal. Told the waitress and all she said was I 'll let the kitchen know I was fuming. But was not going to make a big thing as this was my wife birthday treat. The waiting staff did not know much about what they where serving. Best part was the wine. I expected better for £263 for two of us.
