Filter Coffee Parlor - Birmingham

They usually have a Bundt cake, blueberry muffins, and some cookie bites things, but there is often more than one muffin and some bagels too! I'm pretty sure they get their baked goods from Bee Hive Baking Company. They also have an upstairs with extra seating! Updated from previous review on 2023-06-10

I choose to go here over other nearby coffeeshops every week for the past few months. Why? There are at least 4 vegan pastries to choose from on a daily basis. And the coffees are interesting and delicious. I like how the menu evolves over the seasons. My non vegan friends love it too, so it's an easy pick! There's outdoor seating too, which is great for those of us who are still covid cautious.

We strive to find coffee shops with pour over coffee AND vegan options, and this checks both boxes! We had the peanut butter bagel without honey, oatmeal, and a vegan item from the bakery case.

I got the peanut butter banana bagel (comes with honey, but can request w/o). Besides the bagels and one vegan baked good, there's vegan milks for drinks but no other food options. The bagel was yummy, the tea (purple jasmine) was okay.

Great customer service and extremely knowledgeable staff. They were able to recommend the right coffee for my pallet as well as the right grind for my French press.
