Athenian - Billings

Food was bland, boiled or baked chicken, soggy fries. Gyro meat was OK. Hummus and tzatziki weren't very good. Wouldn't return.

Definitely not a chain restaurant. There's a wait time but that's what I enjoy. They don't rush anyone out and many folks sit and talk after eating. There's no POS system or technology to order. It's one of the last classic old school restaurants still in Billings. Over 45 years in business and ran daily by the owners. Has made its reputation with this community long before Google reviews even existed. A hidden gem for locals. They don't need to advertise and haven't in decades. Should say enough !! Would recommend saganake , Athenian sampler, stuffed dolmas, veg sample platter, chk northern Greece, zucchini sticks, gyro, and bougatsa roll. Oh and extra sauce ?

Best gyro in town, period. Great food, friendly staff, and fair priced. Daily lunch special of this giant gyro, fries, and a drink for $16. You just can’t go wrong

Brought my Grandkids here, very friendly service and atmosphere. Great food, the stuffed grape leaves were perfection!

We were in from out of state, we come up every year and every year we will return to the athenian.
