Arata - Big Sky

Fantastic sushi in a stunning location at Big Sky! The chef is very accommodating and is happy to work with you to customize your sushi. They also offer large Hawaiian drinks. We visit Big Sky twice a year and make sure to dine here every time.

We ordered three special rolls along with yellowtail hand rolls. The hand rolls were fresh, filled with yellowtail, rice, and veggies. While I can't recall the names of the special rolls, I remember one was with hamachi, another with salmon, and the last featured marlin and walu. All of the rolls were delicious, but the walu and marlin roll was my absolute favorite. The hint of sweetness from the pineapple in that roll was a delightful and surprising touch!

Without a doubt, this is my favorite sushi restaurant—truly the best in Montana. I prefer it even over all the places I visited in Seattle. I especially love that many of the rolls feature Walu; it’s my go-to sushi choice!

Very good sushi and sashimi. Interesting Hawaiian roles style. If you like to travel to Big Sky and sushi, this is a place you need to visit.

Delicious sushi, great cocktails, and friendly service. Will definitely go back!
