No 1 China - Big Lake

Used to be a regular, but after the third time of catching food poisoning I stopped. Exactly like when you get off of eating spoilt meat past the expiration date. I know them enough to know it wouldn't surprise me one bit, there's no way they would waste meat. So glad I switched over to Monticello china buffet. Better ingredients, better establishment, higher standards and also family owned and operated.

Moved away from Big Lake 6 months ago. Miss this place. Don't get to have it as often. Great food, fast and courteous.

Absolutely delicious food! The owners are fantastic, and it's a wonderful family-run establishment. I make it a point to visit at least once a week! The staff is always warm and welcomes you with a smile. Without a doubt, it's the best restaurant within a 50-mile radius! The portion sizes are generous, and they offer affordable specials during the afternoon and evening. I usually get the egg drop soup with extra noodles for takeout at night, and my total comes to just $15, including tip. This is the only restaurant I've saved in my phone! Over the past year, I've ordered from here at least 40 times, and I've never had a single complaint! All the food is made to order, and takeout stays deliciously hot for the journey home. You won't be disappointed!

General Tso's Chicken and Orange Chicken are fantastic! The pork egg rolls are excellent, and the cream cheese wontons are delicious as well, all at reasonable prices. UPDATE 2/26/21: The fried dumplings were amazing! The crispy wings were also incredibly tasty!

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered wonton soup and garlic chicken. The wontons were enormous but mostly dough with very little meat inside. The dumplings were disappointing, and the broth lacked flavor. I also tried the garlic shrimp, which came with a sauce, some vegetables, and rice, but everything was just terrible. I used to love this place, so I’m not sure if they changed owners or chefs. At this point, I can’t recommend it to anyone. Additionally, they packed my soup and shrimp entrée in a to-go box, but the rice was served on a paper plate. While the service was friendly and attentive, the food was simply awful!
