While my wife and I were waiting to be seated, we were promptly attended to by a pleasant young lady who started clearing a table for us. Then, an older, somewhat irritable woman approached us and asked if we were waiting to be seated. When we replied that it would be about 15 to 20 minutes, she responded with a grumble about it being more like 20 to 30 minutes, accompanied by an expression suggesting that she was less than thrilled to deal with us. Moving on to the next scene, our bartender was amazing! She took our drink order, but since I was unsure of what I wanted, she went back to prepare my wife’s order. I decided to head to the bar, but the bartender was in the back, so I asked the cranky older lady if she could relay my request for a Coors Light. You would have thought I’d asked her for a huge favor by the way she reacted. She gave me a look that said, "How dare you?" and replied matter-of-factly, "WELL, I DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU’RE SITTING." Mind you, we were right next to the bar! I’ll give her a little leeway because it was busy, but a simple, "Sure! Where are you sitting?" would have been much more pleasant. It’s frustrating how one person's attitude can overshadow a great experience. Also, the temperature in the place was incredibly hot—like a ghost pepper! Overall, enjoy the food but steer clear of the older lady. Until our next meal, folks! Signing off. Bee boo beep.
I’ve had steak here before and it was good(hence 3 stars) but the Texas brisket wasn’t Texas style and barely BBQ brisket. It was tender but that was about the only good thing. The bark was just blackened meat with no taste of salt and pepper or smoke. The expensive Smoker out back (looked like a pellet smoker? No wood pile) was going to waste as I know it could turn out better product than what I was served. It was sliced with the grain instead of against and the fat hadn’t properly rendered out. You could still see the marbling. The taste of the fat hid any other flavors it might have had. The ceasar salad was swimming in dressing. The beans were good as was the cheesecake. Service was friendly. I wouldn’t mind recommending the steak but would tell people avoid the BBQ. If my brisket was typical, they need to re-train the kitchen how to prepare smoked meat.
Overall not impressed. Had to request a refill on tea. Really proud of the steaks. Not the kind of place to pay $25.00 for steak! Had the smoked chicken and to there credit it was decent meal and fair price.
Ribs had too many peppercorns and no bbq. Not at all what I prefer. I wont get those again. On the good side, they have really good fish and chips.
I refuse to order steaks at restaurants because they never get the cook right and it's no where near as good as mine at home... I went out on a limb and ordered a ribeye and WOW.... best steak I have ever tasted and the service was AMAZING! This place is almost 2K mi from home and I would fly back next weekend just to treat my wife to it!
