Lorne Wine - Biddeford

Always fun to go to a place that reminds you of travel and foreign voyages! Going to Lorne and looking through all their artisanal wines is always enjoyable for me. Love the bottle art and chatting with the wine lovers who work there. And the wine is always a delight, too ?

What a fun wine bar and bottle shop! It's an unpretentious environment with class, if that makes sense.The folks there are happy to help you figure out what wine you might be into, even if you don't know specifics.Pours are generous, and the prices are fair! Take-home bottles start at under $20.

I 've been to Lorne many times to buy wine to-go and also to sit in for a glass. The staff at Lorne is super knowledgeable about wine and always willing to teach me something new! I love their dedication to stocking unique wines and enjoy their open-concept store. Their clear the cooler specials are great, as well as their $1 oysters (keep tabs on their Instagram to know when this is happening). They collab with other local businesses and host fun pop-up events as well. Lorne rocks!

What can I say? I don't live in Biddeford, but this has quickly become my *neighborhood bar*. Lorne offers an exceptional array of wine, beer and cider at very reasonable prices and Carson, Erin and Suze provide fantastic service. I've always been a bit intimidated by wine bars, since they typically feel a bit pretentious, but Lorne is the exact opposite! Questions are always met with a smile and a well thought out reply. I truly learn something new every time I'm here. They support many non mainstream producers (with a focus on sustainability! so you can try something new without breaking the bank. I would say almost all of their bottles are under the $30 price point. If you're staying for a drink, they have a good selection of wines by the glass, and they usually have a few additional bottles open so definitely ask if you don't see what you want! They also have a few beers on tap, which my husband is more than happy to participate in. Their $1 cheese balls are one of the best things I've ever seen on a menu. They also have a few other snacks (like pimiento cheese Sunday oysters if you need a bite. I can't recommend Lorne enough!!

What a jewel. It is small, but cozy, and if you don't enjoy wine further. They have a wide selection and the employees know their stuff! The bartender works while my husband and I were there, gave great recommendations, let us try a few samples, and was pleasant to speak. He brought us to various wines, grapes and had some nice stories we liked to hear. It was a great experience. Rumors have expanded this place and will possibly offer pizza? I can't wait to see what's in business. I love Lorne!
