Bidra med feedbackWe had heard about the wonderful musical afternoons and fabulous food on a Sunday at this restaurant from a friend and knew we had to go there for ourselves. We were not disappointed and can highly recommend Sunday afternoons at this restaurant. We booked our table six weeks in advance and would recommend anyone who wants a table overlooking the stage to do the same. There are other seating areas overlooking the mountains or inside if preferred. We spent a leisurely afternoon enjoying a selection of starters and main courses from the food menu whilst being entertained by three sets from a very competent band of musicians and a flamenco dancer. There is a good drinks menu. Some of our party enjoying white and red wines from the wine list and others going for spirts or beer. We arrived at 12:30 in time to get seated and order drinks and our food. The entertainment is on from 13:30 until 17:00. We left around 17:50. The owner Reiner spent the whole afternoon greeting and checking with his guests that all was well. All the waiting and bar staff were great and had a good sense of humour dealing with the non Spanish speakers amongst our group. As I have said previously, the musicians and flamenco dancer were very accomplished. The music was a very eclectic mix drawn from a wide range of years and artists plus some traditional Spanish songs. There’s even a little classical music thrown in! This is a ‘must do’ afternoon and we will certainly be returning with one or two friends who couldn’t make this visit. Yes, we would highly recommend this restaurant especially the Sunday musical afternoons.
Completely different experience this time around. Lovely greeting, perfect table in beautiful surroundings. Reiner (owner) had a little chat and explained there were a few difficulties with the kitchen and things may take a little longer, fair enough. The restaurant was noticeably busier/noisier and only 2 waiters to cover all of the tables and all things considered, they did remarkably well. We were served our drinks quickly and that was it; we had to chase to order food. The same menu, without specials and 3 or 4 dishes off or substituted at the start of service.....the food was fine (apart from the stone-cold garlic bread), but nothing to write home about. 30 euro bottle of wine filled with sediment, no opportunity to decant. Only one ladies toilet functional, also used by band to get ready, so a queue out of the door and a long wait. Musicians 1st set was good, the guest cellist taking the 2nd set was outstanding, although maybe not appreciated by some diners who continued to shout above the musicians, showing zero respect. The 3rd set chaotic at best. This was not a relaxing afternoon in any shape or form, a disappointment this time round. Many thanks to Ahmed and his colleague.
