Bidra med feedbackLocated inside the Santa Ana Star casino, this place hits the spot after a night of gambling. Whether it's a quick snack or a meal, the prices are very reasonable. My faves are the frito pie, stadium nachos, and Navajo tacos. Star burger is pretty decent too! Soda fountain drinks are complimentary.
Live relatively close to the casino so it's a no brainer when I want a good green chili double cheeseburger and some onion rings. Great tasting burger compared to the other casinos I have tried. Sorry they got rid of the chicken wings on the menu cuz my husband said they were great. Teriyaki chicken bowl is also good. Employees are always pleasant and burgers always GREAT!
Based on previous reviews I expected more than snack bar food in a smoke filled casino. At least the restaurant was in a non smoking area of the casino. The big burger was tasty with the green chilis, but the bun was stale and the fries limp and greasy. They charge you for a soda, but we quickly learned soda is free if you use the styrofoam cups. The chicken Caesar salad was meh..... limp lettuce with a small piece of grilled chicken. Wouldn't go back.
This venue has CLOSED. A Food Court has been built where the buffet used to be and one of the options in it is called The Blue Plate which has some of the same items!!!
Honestly the only time you would come here is if you are in the casino. Staff is okay, not overly friendly but they are okay. The food is deep fried and not bad, not great, but not bad. Price is very inexpensive as usually they are catering to the casino crowd. if your in the casino and want a quick bite go for it.
