Bidra med feedbackI love this place! When you go in, feel far away, as with a holiday in Spain. The food is great and I loved the flamenco nights when musicians and dancers live. Such a fun, festive atmosphere. When you look around, you'll see... smiles on all faces. Every time I'm in Berlin, I definitely go back!
Online menu looked very good so we decided to book dinner for three people. Service was fine until they forget the overcooked / dry paella we refused to eat (they pulled it off when finally the bill paid. In addition to the grilled sardines (and beer), the remaining dishes missed the brand for authentic taste, quality and taste. No work with the cook could not repair.
We arrived early and were lucky to get a table for the 4 of us out, because 1/2 an hour later and all outdoor tables where either made by walk-in or reservations former customers. First lesson learned you want a table outside; You better... take a reservation from there very early. Instead of ordering main courses, we decided to go for different tapas, as our 2 teenage children are sometimes difficult. Among other things we had the Calamares Romana, queso chilli, tortillas, albondigas and plata mixto jamon. All ordered foods looked very good and tasted even better. We had a Sangria first and then a good bottle of red wine. All in all, we had a very nice evening there. Food drinks very good, staff very friendly and helpful and very affordable. Very recommended
I have went to this restaurant a number of times and expected the food quality to decrease at some stage, but on the contrary I was surprised to find a constant and well-made cuisine that offers a huge variety of choices. The tapas are especially...delicious, so a combination of four or five from the menu is what you should have if you're up for tasting different meals. The fried sardines and the chorizo are fresh and home made which definitely displays the restaurant's value on serving good food. Don't forget to order one of the great Spanish wines when you're here. The service of the restaurant is attentive and friendly, the food arrived quickly so there was not much time that I had to wait until I was able to enjoy my tapas choices. The inside of the restaurant is dark but it gives a very comfortable feeling when sitting inside, especially in the winter months; the interior is decorated with attention to detail and displays a nice Spanish flair which makes you feel at home. The price value of the restaurant is average, it's not expensive though, but the value for drinks can be a little higher depending on your beverage choice. I highly recommend the Taberna de Bellas Artes if you're searching for good Spanish food.
We tried to eat there on 5th August 2010 myself, husband and three teenage children. We wanted to eat outside but all outside tables were taken so we were directed inside which was very attractive but very warm. So we asked the waitress if...there was any chance of getting a table outside. We were hoping that we could move ouside later if a table came free. She replied Everyone wants to eat out ouside . Clearly there was nothing rude about the content of the reply but the tone in which it was delivered was brusque to say the least. We expected something like Sorry, but perhaps later.... She handed us the menus which were in German and Spanish and took our drinks order. We asked for an English menu but she said they didn 't have any. Unusual in Berlin but we accepted this. Twice I tried to catch her attention because we were getting nowhere with picking our Tapas because of difficulties in translating the menu. Both times she ignored me although she definitely heard me and caught my eye. When she did come back to us she asked us for our order and I explained that we could couldn 't pick because we couldn 't translate the menu and that I had been trying to get her attention. With a look on her face which could have curdled milk, she say But the menu is in German and Spanish! She then walked off leaving us to wrestle on with no help. We decided unanimously to leave although we were starving. One the way out, I told her we were leaving and that it was entirely down to her rudeness. She looked shocked clearly she has a very poor concept of how customers should be treated or perhaps she enjoys being rude and people let her away with it. Won 't be going there again.
