Thomas Eck is the place to go for real German food. If you haven't experienced German food this is definitely the place to go!

They serve good lokal food (Hausmannskost), you won't stay hungry. They got reasonable prices. Lunchmeal 5,95 €. And they have special offers mostly wednesday (Buffet), friday (Schnitzel XXL) evenings from 6 p.m. and at weekends (various). Unfortunately the do not manage to advertise them in...the internet. By the way: Killer Curry(wurst) says what it is.

Thank you to the TA 's who recommended this Berlin noshery. We were staying in the Stadtmitte so it was a few stops out on the U Bahn but so much worth the ride. We went on spec on a Thursday evening and had to fight...for a table (6 of us . The menu is quite diverse but the usual suspects are all there. All six choices were well received and extremely good value for money. Quality ingredients, well cooked, well presented and huge portions! And I mean huge! I had a Ziguener Snitzel, bratkartofel and salat and could not eat it all. The Snitzels (yes two of the things were the size of a guardsman’s boot and despite being a greedy boy I could only eat one! My brother (another greedy boy had a pork knuckle and left a good 50% of the meat. The bill for 6 main courses and loads of beers was 82 Euros! We went back on the Saturday night and to be sure this time we booked. As it was there no need as it wasn’t busy at all! This time we ordered the mini-size options and had regular size portions. Good, value for money food in a very pleasant traditional Berlin pub.

Finalmente tedesco. Stico, polpette ai capperi, wienerschnitzel, salsicce di sangue e speck, locale spartano ma tipico, nulla a che fare con i ristoranti del centro.Noi abbiamo optato per uno stico e le polpette.Lo stinco, offerto nella versione bollita, era enorme, morbido e gustoso, servito con pure di ceci, crauti, patate lesse, cappuccio e senape.Le polpette servite con una salsa di capperi patate e crauti. La salsetta notevole.Consigliato anche per il prezzo.Due piatti, acque e due birre medie 23 €.
