Lagunen Eck - Berlin

Update at the end! “Lagunen Eck” in Berlin’s south-eastern surroundings? The name is explained, for example, with a view to the city plan: The restaurant is located on the northeast corner of a “New Venice” in Wilhelmshagen district (Viertel Treptow Köpenick). On the islands thus formed are residential and weekend homes. This is the causal chain: Venice – Lagoon city – New Venice – Lagoon corner! The restaurant is conveniently located directly on the Fürstenwalder Allee /Ecke Lagoon Trail. The house is a little back from the street and the beer garden is a bit shielded by hedges – after the street noise it is still. There are few parking spaces on the house. The “Lagunen Eck”, after the internet appearance, is a “food industry”, consists of the single-storey main house with guest rooms and the upstream beer garden covered by tall, old trees. Free and fast Wi-Fi is available. The map mainly offers regional, Berlin and good-bourgeois cuisine in a cheap to medium price segment, supplemented by day, weeks and seasonal offers. Since the restaurant is open at 9 a.m., an upscale breakfast is also served here. Those who want to eat warm should not come before 11:30, because from that time the warm kitchen is ready. I took a place in the beer garden in beautiful weather. The service quickly brought the card. Other dishes were advertised on numerous exhibitors. I chose the daily dish “Putengeschnetzeltes mit Reis” for 4,95 €uro. Since the court was accused of “because the share is enough” I dared to ask if it is still in stock. The easy patty service response was: “Why should it be all? We just started the lunch table!” The waiting time for the food moved with me in the normal frame. The part was sufficient and also cost. You can't complain for the price. Half a liter of alcohol-free wheat for 4 €uro (one note – the beer was only 95 cents cheaper than the food!! was unfortunately only insignificantly colder than the food. Bottle beers can also be cooled. At 12 a.m. there was a loud discussion between service and kitchen, why the court was not ready or available at noon. I want to see such Interna as a guest – actually no. Other guests were even more dissatisfied: a family (Mama, Dad, 2 children, Opa left the restaurant again while they protested because they were not paid a quarter of an hour from the service. In their decision, the fact also changed nothing that the service power then changed to the people with the words “I am now there for you”. These guests had no more shock. Conclusion: Cheap and good cuisine, but still not one of my favorites. Update 6.8.2021: Renewed visit. Card and drink came fast, but the beer I wanted from the Oberpfalz was not in stock. On Budweiser. And at my chosen lunch (Rheinischer Sauerbraten, at 1 a.m., the lumps were not finished, so instead of his potatoes that didn't really harass me. I was disturbed by the waiting time for dinner. A three-quarter hour is too long. Taste and quantity was good and sufficient, even if the meat was a little firm. More than 3 stars at 2 visits it will not be!
