Blue Bottle Coffee - Berkeley

I like the coffee, so many stars for it. what I don't like is that they advertise a 6:30 opening time and often don't open to this time, which means that I'm often wasting my trip and lately the prices are upset. they are actually more charged to drink their coffee in a real cup, which I believe completely unique among local caffes.

I was contacted by one of blue blotter managers who was very kind and apologetic. He offered me a gift certificate for the trouble( which he did not have to do) I just hope they can get better staff as their coffee is delicious and high quality. I've been a fan for many years. Thank you, Fern.

This cafe is well placed in West Berkeley, away from the frenetic pace of University, with plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating to match. The floor to ceiling glass walls create a nice ambience and the bar-style service and pickup ordering process are quick and efficient. Only issue is sometimes the quality of the drink is lacking compared to other cafes in the area.

Way too expensive and full of pretentious as shovels that believe what coffee is supposed to taste like. I hope they get off their high horse and finally have a perspective on life that makes them realize they are not the center of attention

I love Blue Bottle. Their coffee. This review is based on a short interaction I had with a barista. Unnecessarily rude. Check your attitude before serving somebody coffee.
