Bidra med feedbackHow awesome it is to have a spot like this at an airport!? A place just selling seafood, Scandinavian style. It wasn't just tourists who were standing in line here, I saw some locals in front of me too speaking to the lady in Norwegian. In their colorful display, you'll find shrimp, salmon and langoustine on bread, served with mayo on the side. However, I ordered something I haven't tried before, the skagenrore (or skagenrora in Swedish). It's basically seafood spread topped with lumpfish roe and dill, served with warm buttered toast and a side of salad. It's just a small pot of spread in the display but they'll bring out the plate for you with fresh warm toast to your seat. Amazing dish!!!!! I licked the plate clean. I haven't tried other dishes but I saw other customers enjoying their seafood on bread. I wish there's a place like this in a US airport and I'll definitely receive a VIP stamp card from them. Yes it's expensive, but by the time you leave Norway, you should have gotten used to it already haha.
Go for the chef's risotto: generous portion and really delicious!
Buy sushi here before going through the gates of no return! Beautiful and fresh food (and beyond the gates, all is HELL.
3/5 for service. The staff seems too busy to serve so many guests. So the guest will not look around well because they lack some hands here. 3/5 for value and food. Fresh bowls are not good. They taste bad. The seafood was a bit cold. I'd be better if they were hot or grilled. They added some oil to seafood that is somewhat too much that it covers the original fish taste a little. And it tastes worse when it gets cold. 3/5 for ambience. The view is not bad, but the window seems to blow in cold air. No heating lamp and food were cold before we finish them. In short, not as good as expected. And seafood freshness can really be improved.
We wanted a local Norwegian seafood experience and we found it! The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, gave good recommendations and spoke perfectly English. The mountain fish soup is typical for local cuisine, but a bit too creamy for me. Really enjoyed the oysters, the fresh shrimps come again only a plate of delicate fresh baby shrimps! We really liked that it was also a seafood market, which meant that the inventory of seafood and shells selection at its freshest and plentiful. We said it was hot colder because it's in a glass room outside the market, but we found it nice to be. Only our toes were a bit cold at the end of dinner. Otherwise it was convenient, there are head warmers, reindeer fur seats and additional blankets. Good idea to book a table and ask to be placed under a heat lamp.
