Better known as Terminus Whisky Bar, Bar Amundsen is the place to go in the mountains when you are thirst for something whisky! Like a top-class bar from the 1930s with smooth jazz in the background, the bar plays the perfect mood! And the whisky selection is excellent! Let me put it this way: you have a ladder in the bar that you need to access the entirety of their many bottles of whisky!
Shows the best whisky bar I've ever seen. I'd give this place ten stars if I could. We were lucky to get some seats at the bar and let Simon take care of us for a few hours. After a few questions about my taste and what I was looking for, he led me through four incredible glasses (Glenrothes 18, St. Magdalena 28 distilled in 1982, Rosebank 21 distilled in 1990 and a Bunnahabhain 36 distilled in 1974). They have an absurd selection, including older vintages, many independent bottling and closed distillateries. Simon wanted to suggest a unique, delicious casting, and incredible, the bill did not break the bank. The price for the four infusions (and a glass of prosecco) was less than one could ever find a glass of one of the last three whisky in the states (if you could even find it). Really a wonderful experience for those who appreciate whisky. After drinking beer and wine over most of my stay in Bergen, I would have liked to come directly to Amundsen.
