Super evening in this very good restaurant overlooking the old town square. A beautiful welcome, a delicious meal on site and excellent wine. And really good value.

My first visit to Trattoria Sant Ambroeus dates back to April 2019. Needless to say how often my thoughts and heartfelt wishes went back to beautiful Bergamo during the time of emergenza COVID… Therefore, how moving to be back and to enjoy Stefano's hospitality again. Grazie mille also to chef Samuel who prepared for me costoletta milanese in a perfect way, complemented by Stefano's sensible wine choice. And for having some great Colomba in store for me, even after Easter, served by Rossella with a smile. Grazie per tutto, un saluto cordiale da Vienna ed alla prossima!

We ate at this wonderful trattoria twice, once lunch and once dinner 3 days ago. Highly recommended by our hotel, the Gombit. Exc location on the main square. At lunch I had roasted rabbit with polenta. Rabbit is a favorite of mine, very hard to find back home. My wife had papardelle with porcini mushrooms. Both meals exc. At dinner our last night we each had a starter then shared an order of casoncelli, the local pasta dish which is wonderful but quite rich so sharing an order was the way to go. Compliments to chef and staff at this fine trattoria!
