Bidra med feedbackTempura dishes are good, eapecially toriten (local fried chicken with special sauce). there are English menus.
Excellent food and service. Each of us had the tendon and we shared the toriten, both of them were delicious and more than enough for two people for a reasonable price. Tendon comes with pickled vegetables and miso soup.
Good food at a slightly steep price. They offer a wide variety of fish sashimi, but it seems most locals come for their tempura set meals which are quite large and cheap. You can try pufferfish here between December and March, and they have other seasonal dishes
I wouldn’t have come here if the restaurant I originally wanted to go to wasn’t unexpectedly closed. If there was an English menu, we weren’t offered one, even though we clearly couldn’t understand Japanese. Our order was taken wrong, but in the end we finally got what we ordered, which were the three recommended items (I assumed): the toriten (fried chicken), dukyu (aji sashimi marinated in a sesame based sauce) and dashimaki tamago. The chicken tasted below average, dukyu was unique and tasted pretty good, and the tamago was average. A bowl of rice on the side comes with pickles tasty bonus!
We had to call the waitress 5 times, and she kept ignoring us, helping new customers to their seats, taking other customers orders before ours when we asked first, etc. It was really rude. We wanted to order more because we weren't full, but because they ignored us we decided to leave early instead. The tempura was pretty good, but the sashimi was not up to par. Have had better at cheaper costs too. They need to respect non-Japanese customers more.
