Bidra med feedbackSmall, cozy yet elegant setting. Outstanding service from captain and waiters. Live Piano man complements the ambience with good selections. Now, food is just a step above great. I had the Tártara de Pescado as starter: great mix between fish, avocado and tostada. Afterwards I...had the green seafood soup, based on cilantro. Outstanding. As main course I had the Lomo de Pescado Asturiana, cooked with azafrán along with shrimps. Just delicious with a Finca Sobreno Ref, from Toro region. My mates had the arroz con leche and pear dessert. They said it was outstanding. Great surprise and treat from this restaurant!
As one walks in the Lar, the well established restaurant lets you know you are in for a great experience, To begin with, the piano man is soothing you, the service at your table is impecable and gentle. The wines are very reasonable and now...you are in for the real deal: A great meal. Start with the angulas in a hot garlic oil based accompanied by grilled zuchinni (at my peculiar request), followed by chistorra with flour tortillas and smothered onion and chillis. The main dish for me was a incredibly savory CALDO GALLEGO, one of the restaurant's specialties. I am not a desert guy, but I took a couple of bites from my mother's flourless almond cake and it was delish. Overall, a solid well rounded experience, that makes you smile.
