Golden Vine Hotel - Bendigo

It's nice to go to a pub with more then one vegetarian option. I had an excellent vege parma! I was told when I rang up earlier that I was able to remove meat from many of the meals on the menu (including the risotto! and that they were willing to veganise if I spoke to the chef :

There is a lot to like about the Golden Vine Hotel at 135 King St Bendigo, which is because there is a lot to go. Depending on the night you will find Trivia, Live Bands, Pub-Chor and more. We dived for a meal; I had the Lemon Pepper Calamari with wonderful crispy chips and tartaric acid sauce. The meal is really in place. We found the staff happy, friendly and welcoming. What else could you ask?

We are a couple of Melbourne, and were there a week ago, (18/2/22), for an early dinner and to see the brilliant Quarry Hillbillies. Had a big Wagyu burger and Jenny loved her warm beef salad. Meanwhile, the service, the enthusiasm and the atmosphere was a relaxed joy and great music. Would come back happy!

Today I went to the restaurant expecting to have a $10 lunch, but was surprised to find that the prices had increased to $13. Despite this, I was not disappointed with my fish and chips and salad - they were delicious and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and attentive, and my meal was prepared exactly as I requested. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music, which added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I hope that not too many people read this review so that the restaurant doesn't become too crowded. Overall, it was a very pleasant meal.
