Riverwoods Country Store - Bend

Lazy attendant, wouldn't pump propane !!! Stood around with his hands in his pockets between pumping gas. Said they were to short staffed to pump propane. That's ok, Arco (AmPm) was more than happy to take my $30 for propane.

I've been visiting this restaurant for the past 15 years and have witnessed numerous changes throughout that time. Recently, I've noticed many improvements. The store now offers more options than ever before, with all items clearly priced and everything fresh. Both the interior and exterior are consistently clean, and the staff is excellent. During my last visit, an employee named Justin (I think that was his name) was quick to assist me, washed my windows without me even asking, and thanked me for my business. I will definitely return.

This morning, I encountered an issue with the pump that wouldn't accept my card without a PIN, and since my card doesn't have a PIN, I mentioned that I would just go to another gas station since I was in my slippers. He quickly reassured me, saying, "No worries! I’ll take it inside for you." Despite the fact that there were other customers at the pumps, he took my card inside and handled the payment for me in no time. I’ve faced similar situations at other gas stations, but no one has ever offered to help like that. It was such a small favor, yet it completely made my day. In a world where good customer service seems to be fading, it was refreshing to see someone go above and beyond their usual duties. My young boys were in the jeep with me and even remarked, “Wow, he was really nice, Mom! What a gentleman!” This simple act had a wonderful positive impact on all of us. We truly hope this young man continues to work at this local gas station. No matter the gas prices, my husband and I will continue to come back just for the exceptional service.

Mary was incredibly polite and truly outstanding! She was exceptionally kind and helpful when I asked for directions around town. I really appreciate her assistance and generosity. We definitely need more people like her in customer service!

The employees are friendly and helpful. The place was quite busy, and the gas station is convenient, though prices are higher than those in town. They offer a decent selection of beverages and some pretty good local pizza slices.
