Bidra med feedbackHowever, I was quite disappointed to find that $8 only got us four very small potato pierogies. On a side note, the pressure to tip has gotten out of hand. Why should I feel obligated to tip any percentage just for placing my order? If I don’t tip, am I going to receive bad service? This tipping culture at food trucks really needs to change; it’s a big turn-off and motivated me to write this review. Saying it’s part of the POS system is just a weak excuse. As for the food itself, it was just okay. The quality was reminiscent of Mrs. T's frozen pierogies but at three times the price! I enjoy the frozen ones, which are 12 for just $4. While there are plenty of other options available if you want more variety, they too come at a higher price. The service was friendly and quick, and the food wasn’t terrible by any means. The food pod atmosphere was quite nice. So if you’re looking for mediocre, overpriced pierogies in small portions served by nice people, then this is the place for you.
I truly wanted to rate this place 5 stars, but I just didn't find the food to be exceptional. I ordered the sampler, which offered a nice variety of flavors, but they were merely average. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the chicken bacon ranch flavor. The staff was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. On a funny note, I kept mistaking the large dollop of sour cream on the side of my plate for a napkin, and I almost wiped my hands on it several times!
Absolutely delicious! We even returned for more. This food truck is located at Pod Ski, where there are several other options. It was at the top of our list based on the reviews, and it certainly lived up to the hype. I loved that we could choose our own pierogies for the sampler, which is what made us come back for another round. They were served hot, and the option to add sour cream and onions was a fantastic touch to these tasty little pillows of goodness.
I've visited Big Ski's multiple times, and I'm somewhat torn about writing this review. The pierogis are absolutely delicious and really hit the spot—provided you actually receive all the pierogis you ordered. I'd say that at least a third of the time my wife and I have missed out on some of the pierogis we requested. While it's not a total dealbreaker, it shouldn't be that challenging to get an order right. With a little more attention to detail in service, this place could truly be outstanding. As it stands, it's very much a hit or miss experience depending on the staff that day.
The pierogies (Polish dumplings) were absolutely delicious! We ordered a sampler of six, and each one was fantastic! Plus, the food truck area has a really great atmosphere. Food: 5/5
