Osso - Belo Horizonte

Amazing service, ambiance and food. Burgers are superb and very well made, maybe one of the best in Belo Horizonte. Totally recommend it.

This is a good restaurant, for Brazil, where the restaurants are a few notches below everywhere else. The main problem with food in Brazil is it's all WAY too salty, and gives everyone in my 4 person travel group instant indigestion. I ordered a Denver cut steak and it was well cooked. I forgot about the usual salt problem and didn't ask for them to go light until my order had been in for about 5 minutes, so I'm not sure whether the chef got the memo. The meat was overly salted, but not the usual blood pressure bomb you get on grilled meats in Brazil. The grilled vegetable side was fine nothing spectacular and light on the green stuff, (also a chronic problem in Brazil , but reasonably well cooked and not too too salty. If you're in Belo Horizonte and you want to have a decent piece of meat, this isn't a bad choice. It's in a good, central neighborhood. The outdoor seating is nice. The service is predictably relaxed. The draft beer is good. The wine list is serviceable although it had no vintages listed (again, Brazil.... . Finally, if you're spending US dollars or Euros, it will be a really good value.

Was alright but beggars keep approaching our table for money. Ordered a Schnitzel but it was a bit uncooked inside (red) and had to send it back twice. This time it came back it was a bit burnt. A bit pricey for Brazilian standards.

Avoid this place if you can. There are many great options at Lourdes to eat and this is definitely not one of them, specially at lunch. Kitchen's timings are amazingly lazy, food pretend to be fancy, the barbecue chef needs to learn a lot how to do it and the side dishes are a nightmare. Location and service are not that bad.

FOOD POISONING My partner and I had the most awful food poisoning there with 2 different meats (picanha costela de bovina). I can't say anything more. Terrible experience, we were sick all the day.
