Seastar Raw - Bellevue

The restaurant was very noisy, making it difficult to have a normal conversation. The service was average and there were long waits between ordering the appetizer, wine, and main course. However, the Tower dish was excellent and the salmon was cooked perfectly as requested. The pricing at SeaStar seemed to suggest that good service was included in the steep prices, with an additional 20% for staff compensation. This led to confusion regarding tipping, as it was unclear whether it was expected on top of the already high prices. Despite tipping, the overall experience at SeaStar did not feel like a good value.

Excellent experience as always. Maintaining high quality for such a long period is impressive and not something you see often. Michelle, Marc, and your amazing team, you have exceeded expectations once again. Thank you!

We had a fantastic birthday dinner at this restaurant for a party of 10. We enjoyed oysters, seafood towers, crudo, sushi, cauliflower and quinoa salad, surf and turf, swordfish, steelhead, Chilean sea bass, halibut, and sole – all of which were excellent. The wine service was top-notch with a great selection of hidden gems. We had a great time laughing and enjoying the food. The only downside was the placement of our large round table, which made it difficult for the servers to maneuver. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that met our expectations of the John Howie brand, and we will continue to celebrate special occasions here.

Came having high expectations, The rib eye steak was tough, and had zero marbling. The Fresh king salmon was alright, but lacked key flavoring. Overall the service was good and they were very understanding about the disliking of the steak.

From start to finish, AMAZING! RD was fantastic and the whole experience was welcoming and perfect.
