Bidra med feedbackBeen to many events in Sans-Souci, and Greg always has wonderful food for us. Special mention for the personal memory has done my job there. The Bratbeef was absolutely perfect.
The 70. My father's birthday took place in San Souci, and I couldn't have been more disappointed. At first, the food was terrible. Everyone I spoke has had my experience with the chicken uncovered: It was so dry that it was illegitimate. It was obviously boiled earlier...and reheated in the oven too long (probably left by an event earlier in the week), and I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. The vegetables were boiled and not seasoned, and the main rib was almost raw. When I talked to the cook later, he seemed angry, but agreed to make some accommodation for bad quality (they took half the price of the 10 chicken plates). There was a nice selection of teas on the dessert table, but no hot water to make them. I expected a carafe of coffee and boiling water for tea, and when we asked, they brought some single cups of tepid water. The servers were sweet, but clearly not prepared for a group. And 14 of our guests cancelled the last minute for a blizzard. My mother (which lives on a government pension and is saved for a year) knew that she would have to pay for these plates, but when she asked if she could take some of the left home, she said no. I would never go back to this restaurant and would strongly recommend people looking for a place to host an event look elsewhere.
Absolutely terrible service. Tables not set, forget food, nothing except excuse from the owner. In any case, you do not recommend this restaurant for catering events.
We eat regularly. Order a bowl of one of the stews or hard soups (not the cream soups). Often on the menu and a meal in itself, but never the same. Lamb/Mouse/Duck Burger, while usually reheated are unique and rewarding. If you have someone with you that is less adventurous, their standard smoked meat is as good as anyone. Sandwiches can be bad. Dinner in Sans Souci is also worth it and you cannot beat the value.
I always enjoy dining at Sans Souci, its an excellent lunch spot especially. Love their sandwiches and soups and my ultimate fav the cheesecake! The chef and owner Greg is very talented and all the sauces dips spreads salad dressing etc...are made from scratch. Ive also experienced their catering side on several occasions and would highly recommend them for catering any event you have he in fact catered my bridal shower and my sisters wedding and both were EXCELLENT ! food delicious excellent service. He's great to work with to get exactly what you're looking for , for each occasion. TOP NOTCH
