Bidra med feedbackTo be honest, this place didn't meet my expectations. It used to be a favorite spot of mine with great food, bubble tea, and a nice menu selection. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. However, I recently tried a new restaurant that opened in the same location. It had a similar style and menu, but many items were missing. The soup I ordered was tasty but lacked vegetables and other key ingredients, and the portion size was smaller. I was also disappointed to find that they didn't offer bubble tea. Overall, the food was okay, but not as good as it used to be.
I ordered from Dinh Dinh during the pandemic back in October. Dinh Dinh replaced one of my favorite pho places in area (likely closed due to the pandemic). As part of my order, I tried the hoisin wings and beef pho. Beef pho (3 star): I'd say the quantity of meat is a bit sad to me on the pho. Additionally, the soup was not very flavorful (lacking in some of the punch kick umami of a typical base, or was not as rich in fattiness from broth) and was on the sweet side (likely to cater to more Western palate). This was kind of disappointing to me since I no longer have a go to authentic pho place nearby. The little tiny tubs of hoisin sriracha was not enough, so we pulled our own supply at home to add some flavor to the meal. Maybe there wasn't fish sauce inside? I really enjoyed the hoisin wings (4 star) they were super uber crispy crunchy (not good for my kiddos) but the sauce was deliciously savory I will attempt to recreate these at home (without the spice) for the kids. The interior renovation and decor is beautiful. It definitely looks like a fun hangout spot for the evening, with a bar. The bartender server was super nice to chat with (5 star) while I was waiting, but did not have a mask on (mentioning this here in case anyone is wondering on their mask policies), so I kept our interactions to a minimum and waiting outdoors for the most part. There is space in front of the restaurant for outdoor dining.
I had an amazing lunch here! For starters, we ordered the Brisket bao bun. Let's call it the wow bun! It's such a great flavor, with really tender meat and a pillowy soft bun. The perfect balance of hot and sweet.. I really wanted to order more of these, but I knew I wouldn't eat my entrée. For entrées, we ordered the beef Bahn mi and the chicken yellow curry bowl. I am so glad I saved my appetite! The chicken curry was absolutely fabulous in a creamy curry sauce with lots of veggies. Such wonderful flavor! Absolutely loved it. Very Memorable! The bánh mì was crispy, with crunchy pickled vegetables and a nice tangy mayonnaise. Just delicious. The portions are large and we had plenty left over. Service is great, very friendly and nice people. I can't wait to go back and try the pho!
Food was good but not great. Fried tofu was delicious. The steamed pork dumplings were good. The Beef Pho was quite underwhelming.
Cozy local spot for noodles, curry, tofu. Plenty of vegetarian options. Friendly service, plenty of parking.
