Mario's Fish And Chips - Bedford

Found a hair in food, went up and complained, one of the men dealing with the food said it looks like a pubic hair, threw it in the bin. Fair enough they offer me some more chips but obviously I said no as I didn’t want a hair in food round 2. I was then offered nothing... seems as I work in a catering business I find this awful customer service would not recommend.

The food at Mario's restaurant can only be compared to low-quality dog food. It is disgusting and always leaves me feeling sick the next day. The staff are rude and unprofessional, with the man liking inappropriate pictures on Twitter and the woman appearing unkempt and abrasive. The restaurant itself is shabby, with cheap furniture and a lack of maintenance. The bouncer is intimidating until he speaks with a high-pitched voice. This is possibly the worst place to eat in Bedford, if not all of England. It is surprising that they have not been shut down for their poor hygiene standards. If you enjoy food poisoning and unsanitary conditions, then Mario's is the place for you.

I cannot believe how badly they messed up the chips at this restaurant. They were absolutely disgusting. The mayonnaise was so lumpy, it looked like a leper's face.

We had an excellent fish and chip supper, fish beautifully crisp and fresh chips also fresh and loads of everything. Arrived in the time said 30mins and communication and friendliness very good. Thankyou for a great supper would highly recommend. Angela

We used the takeout service one evening on our weekend breat at the Bedford Swan. It was only a short walk from the Hotel. The interior was a bit spartan and the lady serving was really busy. The food, however, was really delicious and very well cooked. The portions were very generous. There were a couple of tables to dine in, but the door was wide open.
