Brauereischaenke am Markt - Bayreuth

Very classic local restaurant, has all the bavarian dishes you can wish for. Very friendly and fast service to.

Let's be honest, this place doesn't look too attractive on outside and inside has its 60's-70's old-school Franconian village restaurant feeling to it. But that's a kind of charming, if you're into that kind of things. In any case, there were a lot of locals, too, so can't be so bad. And indeed, the food here had the best value in the entire Bayreuth during our visit. Just keep in mind that the prices were also reasonably low. Still, I could imagine visiting here again.

We had a nice afternoon with a good local lunch, good wine and of course the good local beer. Nicely located at the main market square so it was just relaxing watching the people pass by.

We had a great meal here accompanied by some of the best beer we tasted in Bayreuth. The service was friendly and prompt, and it has a nice cosy atmosphere. Nice position in the main market square-type street.

Man sitzt recht angenehm auf der Strasse mit einschlägigem Mobiliar. Da Speisenangebot ist orts- oder regionaltypisch. Maisel ist das dominante Bier. Problem ist zur Mittagszeit, dass selbst bei Gerichten, die wenig Vorbereitungszeit erfordern (z.B. Suppen oder Weißwürste), es ziemlich lange dauert, bis die Gäste etwas bekommen. Auch die Getränke brauchten lange Zeit bis zum Servieren.
