Catalina Bayou - Bayou La Batre

Great food, good service. Broken filled flounder is not to be missed. Carolyn was our server and I thought I had to take her home. Sweet little place in a sweet little town. My trip from Spanish Fort....m new favorite place for seafood.

I have the seafood plate and it was excellent. I don't even like crabs, but they rebuilt me. That was probably some of the best seafood I ate. My only complaint was the service was a little slow, but they were a little busy so I can overlook it.

Being from Pennsylvania I love the hospitality in the south welcomes us. I must say there was no place more hospitable than in Catalina. Service was excellent and so was the food. Not only do you get a large amount of food, but the food deep fried had no oil in it saturated. Everything was perfected! Will be more than once again in the next few years! Maybe every night!

We were for a Sunday trip and saw signs for fresh seafood. That's all we needed. Wow, southern hospitality best! I felt like home and lunch at my best friend's house. Food was delicious and service excellent. Fried shrimps were slightly baked (the way fried shrimp should be) and the best I had since the retreat to the south. Perfect Gumbo and Crab Bisque, while a little thick for me, my husband has not stopped talking about it and our entire experience. We're coming back!

Still the best seafood in Mobile County by far. Been eating here since the old days and their food is awesome. Well worth going to The Bayou
