Bidra med feedbackUnfortunately, Ken has retired and the new owners are not quite meeting the same standards. The food is okay, but it seems like there are too many staff members working.
I was hoping to order fish and chips, but when I saw the small piece of fish in the display cabinet, I commented on its size. The staff members told me that the fish comes in different sizes and gave me a strange look. I pointed out that despite the size difference, the price remained the same, to which they confirmed. Feeling like I was being taken advantage of, I decided to leave. The staff seemed pleased to see me go, but perhaps I will feel happier once their business closes down.
The Chinese couple has been operating this Fish & Chip bar for many years, and their commitment to quality and service has always been exceptional. Friendly and cheerful, they are a respected part of the local fast food scene in the village. We hope they continue to thrive for years to come.
I was visiting Peasedown St Johns seeing my grandmother where I decided to have some fish and chips from the local fish bar Ken’s. I’ve eaten from there before and never been disappointed and today was no different. I wasn’t that hungry so only brought 2 of their mini fish and chips deal and that was plenty for a lunchtime treat. Highly recommend if ur in the area
This is a small local fish and chip shop just off the A367 in the village of Peasedown St John, near Bath. The service is different from most others in that you place your order, pay and wait. This method often involves a short wait but it ensures that your food is always fresh. At peak times the shop can get crowded and there is no seating provided, except the window sill; however, this is a small price to pay for quality fish and chips. The batter on the fish is to die for!
