Slayden's -b-que - Bastrop

We drive from arkansas to slaydens! the bar-B-que is excellent. her kartoffel salad is original and so good! the sweet soup is like what her mother made and the desserts are mainly chocolate cakes, my favorites! oh and the staff are friendly people. you can't go wrong to eat slaydens!

I have been a fan of Slayden’s Bar-B-Que for 54 years. Having lived in various places across the USA, I can confidently say that no other barbecue compares to Slayden’s. The quality and flavor are consistently outstanding, no matter what you choose from the menu! And I bet you won’t be able to resist their homemade cakes either!

We really enjoy this BBQ spot, and their desserts are fantastic as well. The only issue is that it's a bit tricky to find them open.
