Bidra med feedbackDropped in for lunch and had a chicken curry sandwich with a small salad and a small beer. The sandwich was a baguette with coronation chicken in and the small salad was quite big really, so all in all a filling lunch.Good service, tasty food and beer. All I needed at that point - oh yes and a server that spoke good English!
We visited here due to it being one of the only places open on the Swiss National day near to our hotel and it was very close and convenient to the hotel we were staying in. Pizza's were very good. Would definitely return when next back in Basel. Our waiter/maybe the owner? was very attentive and hard working. Waiting on lots of tables and rushing around, maybe other staff were on holiday. We enjoyed our food very much on a lovely Swiss summer evening. Thank you.
Just around the corner from where we live is this small pizzeria that is right on the large Wettsteinplatz roundabout, opposite the bus and tram station. Yes, I know, it’s not the most quiet or scenic place around, but it is actually a very nice place to have a nice pizza (with 4, we share 2 and are done for around CHF50.) We enjoy sitting outside when the weather permits. They provide blankets for when you're cold.
We stopped here by chance one day and ended up returning another 3 times. The staff are friendly and speak English. There is a great range of sandwiches but the pizzas are absolutely fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough. It's also one of the very few places open on a Sunday in Basel
Stopped here for lunch while exploring Basel, my partner had a Pizza and it was huge and tasty, I had a Bern Toast (Cheese,Ham etc. on Toast) which came with a lovely salad on a large plate. Prices were in-line with most other places we visited, however the food was presented nicely, it tasted a good and it was a large filling portion for the price. Service was also good, menu is in German although it's not difficult to take a guess what most dishes are - pizza, toast, sandwiches etc.
