Rest. Malibu - Barrio Mexico Costa Rica

I stopped by this place Sept. 2018. Actually it was Costa Rica Independence day......Very welcoming to tourists, locals and expats. Cheap beer, good prices, kinda of a local dive bar vibe, but felt safe and welcomed. Will Return!!

If your an entomologist like me, you'll enjoy the impromptu study of Blattodea.

They hired an ex bartender from the Del Rey. As I expected she tried to cheat me out of my change by 20 dollars. Please pay attention to the change you get.

Great food and great prices! This place gets people visiting from all over the world, especially from Canada and the U.S. It's popular with Ticos and Ticas as well. It's a nice clean place and some nights it's standing room only, even when all of the nearby places are practically empty. I visit here on every visit through San Jose.
