Bidra med feedbackExcellent food that came out super quick. Very friendly quaint atmosphere. Truly the best Thai food i’ve ever had!
Since Angie left the restaurant has gone down-hill. The food is inconsistent, seems like the love is gone..the service is non-existent, the lady up front has a very off-putting spirit..super unwelcoming. Lord God bring back Angie!
What a wonderful visit! It's been a while since we have been. The eggplant, basil fried rice and shrimp were all excellent! Updated 06/2024... another great visit! Try the spicy beef salad and the wontons! Pad thai was excellent!
It has been way too long. Ahhhh yes! Thai Food Mastery. I love this place. I always have. I used to frequent Thai Pepper for daily lunches whenever I was managing an office downtown. The menu is very authentic. The spice is extra hot. So be cautious when choosing the level of spice. But that’s what I mean by authentic. Even a seasoned no pun veteran of spicy Louisiana food that I am. The medium level spice of these dishes even puts me to the test. I suggest all newcomers start with the low level spice. Then move your way up. I’d love to try using Thai spice in a crawfish boil and watch my veteran craw-fishers faces turned red. lol Thai Pepper nails the flavors of Thai Food here. My personal favorite is the Panang Curry with Chicken. The soups are extremely flavorful and carefully crafted with numerous mysterious ingredients. Foreign to the eye as well as to the palate. After all. Food that is foreign is the whole idea. Right? The atmosphere is clean, cozy and relaxing. It’s not a white table cloth type of a restaurant. It’s not meant to be. And it doesn’t have to be. Thai Pepper is simply a no-nonsense local favorite venue that consistently satisfies those in search of TRUE Thai cuisine. Not an Americanized spinoff. As I’ve said before. Consistency is key. You can’t just offer a great restaurant with great food. But then allow the quality fluctuates. It must be consistent. Customers need to know. That when you want to be guaranteed the very best in whatever category of dining that you’re in the mood for. There are places that will never disappoint. Surprisingly. The entrees are not very expensive. I would be willing to pay more for this level of quality. In a way, I do. In the form of large tips. In the category of Thai Food. There are many runner ups in the Baton Rouge area. But only one true winner. And in my opinion. Thai Pepper is the hands down winner.
The food, restaurant and atmosphere were great. I highly recommend giving them a shot. We went on a Friday for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. We had the spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, sweet basil and garlic pepper.
