Mammy's Kitchen - Bardstown

My husband and I had a great meal here. Good size and price. White engraving and roasted chicken was delicious. Pig chops cooked in sweet Bourbon-Bbq sauce were my husband's favorite. Try this restaurant. Service was also great.

Our hotel recommended this place for a bite. So we went in and found a table at the bar, just like our waitress came to take our order, another waitress said we had to go to the back of the restaurant and wait for a table or we could sit at the bar. So we'll sit at the bar. The drinks were great. We made an order and I made a special request to have added cheese to my sandwich. When the food came, there was no cheese. I told the bartender and she asked if she wanted to get me a piece. I told her it wouldn't be melted. I didn't care about the steak sandwich at all. But the southwest burger and fried green tomatoes were great. When the bill came, the bartender made a point to point out that they added the cheese and the kitchen staff are those who do not follow the order, but they never took the charge of my bill. So we took it in their tip. We are not sure if this was a place where we would come back to the city.

We had to eat here in Bardstown during our time. Friendly faces and fast food! We ordered chickens and waffles and the Kentucky BLT with chips, domestic frits and Mac n cheese. I ordered the Pimento cheese on the page of previous reviews and I am glad that I, I used about half. Food was great! I wouldn't eat here every night (a little fat), but I don't think it's worth up to 4 stars. The taste of chickens and waffles was amazing, chicken was tender, waffle soft and the maple was perfect. The BLT was great roasted green tomatoes and crisp bacon with Pimento cheese. You have a wide selection of Bourbon and the prices are reasonable. We parked a few blocks away and went, but street parking is free. Edit: Removed a star because one of us GI cramps / sick a few hours after eating here. I thought it was a fuke, but according to other reviews, it could not be random. I don't know.

Great food and good service. It was our first meal here in Kentucky. I saw this was a top spot to go and wasn't let down. I fried the chicken and it was delicious. Hot Brown is a Kentucky clamp and was also delicious. We are from the east coast so you don't find food like this back home. Would recommend 100% if you are in the area. Thanks for the delicious food.

Stopped in while passing through Bardstown. What a fun place! The decor was great and the staff was very friendly. The portion sizes are huge and everything was delicious.
