Bidra med feedbackPreviously gave this restaurant 5 stars. Revisited on a weekday recently and was so disappointed. I had one of the specials, stew, which was ok. The desert was shocking. Warm plastic apple tart. Couldn't eat more than one bite. Asked for no cream but came with a huge dob of cream next to pie. Toilets smelled awful. At lunch time during a week day. Makes me think. Staff are always very nice to be fair.
We waited 20 min before we could order staff were horrible and left before food came after about 45 min also ordered drinks that never arrived
Was there a couple of days for a little holiday. Very nice location, not far from Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. Staff was friendly. Just tried breakfast, it was very good. Will come back to try dinner!
Booked in for the night in the guest house and though the room was nice and comfortable no hot water to be had
I used to enjoy this restaurant, though the staff were still friendly it was overpriced style over substance, The prawn starter was a few warm prawns floating in an oily puddle. Not good and expensive. The plaice and crab mains was even worse; there was 3 small mounds of potato spaghetti stuffed with plaice [skin still attached] and thimble of crab. It was sitting on mash. The veg was parsnip with one bit of carrot, my husband had one floret of broccoli with his parsnip. This was 22 euros each. One drink each and a bill for 80.00 euro! The situation was not helped by the waitress sweeping the floor around us just after she had served our food.
