The Brew - Ballyboghil

I returned to this restaurant after three years of being a regular in the past. I was completely disappointed by what now seems to be the Ryanair of cafes. This is not at all a "bistro"! When we requested a small glass of tap water with our coffee, which would typically be served automatically in a bistro, we were told "we don't normally do that, but you can buy a large bottle of water." Oh la la, really?

I love this busy little place. I meet friends there and I go with family some Saturdays or Sundays for brunch. The food is fresh and tasty. It never fails to sadisfy all of us. They also do takeaway which can be very handy . The outside space is a great asset when the weather is fine. Its also a very pretty building. Mary

Very tasty, freshly prepared food. I have never got a bad dish here. Friendly staff. I am a fan of paying for food before you receive it, as it saves time trying to get staff attention to get the bill. Glad to support a small local business.

Food is excellent and never disappointed. I got the BLT toasted and it was very good. Normally I would get brunch there and would get the French toast and bacon and it's always very tasty. Definitely recommend a visit and staff are always very friendly.

This restaurant is a good quick stop for cyclists passing through the village. They have a secure bike rack monitored by CCTV and a convenient outdoor dining area. I enjoyed a nice cup of tea and slice of cake. However, the toilets were in need of attention and were pretty dirty during my visit. It would be an easy fix to add a mirror in the restroom. Overall, it's okay for a quick drink but I would hesitate to eat there again due to the poor condition of the toilets.
