El Gallo De Oro - Balch Springs

This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I must say my wife and I were disappointed with the chicken tacos. The meat was dry and lacked flavor. Additionally, one of the limes had mold on it. I ordered 10 tacos but only received 9. The green sauce was quite watery instead of being thick. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. It’s a shame, as I usually prefer smaller establishments.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I ordered chicken and pork tacos. They were amazing! They had fantastic flavor and were served hot and fresh.

The restaurant has undergone a name and ownership change and is now a completely new establishment. The tacos are tasty, but they still have a grand opening sign claiming a 10% discount, which they refuse to honor or even mention. If they don’t intend to provide the discount, they should take down or cover up that banner!

My family and I visited this restaurant hoping to enjoy some tacos, but we were quite disappointed. The tacos were not what they used to be. The tacos de trompo were mediocre, the barbacoa was just okay, and the tripas were awful—they clearly weren't cleaned properly. Additionally, all the tacos were excessively greasy, and not in a tasty way. The restrooms were in terrible condition, infested with roaches and bugs everywhere. I will be reporting this establishment.

The restaurant was quite unclean, with roaches in the restroom and an unpleasant smell reminiscent of rats. The kitchen appeared dirty, and the floors were very sticky. Additionally, the drink selection was limited to just bottled beverages and beer.
