We had a very nice dinner for two couples on a Tuesday evening. The tables are well spaced and relatively quiet. The service was good. Our waitress left us alone for long periods but that was fine with us because we could continue our animated conversations. The food is basically comfort food pot pies strongly recommended. Also, meatloaf. The portions are huge. The chicken pot pie and short rib pot pies were full of chicken and meat with ample vegetables and sauce. The short rib was not as tender as I like. One diner highly complimented the blackened swordfish catch of the day. Wines by the glass were OK, including the Long Island wines.

We had an outstanding lunch. All of us were very happy with our selections. I had the chicken pot pie, my husband had the mushroom flatbread, and there was a pasta order as well as a fish sandwich ordered by other family members. Everything met our expectations. We love the ambience of this restaurant and the excellent service. Every time we have visited, the food has been excellent. The restaurant was busy.

The food was excellent and the portions were enormous. We’ve paid more for portions that were half the size. The menu is very varied, with something for every diet and taste. (And a larger dessert menu than most comparable restaurants. The server, Alison, was delightful—friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was my husband’s and my first time here, but it surely won’t be our last! Can’t wait to come back with friends and family.
