The new owners have completely revamped the menu and coffee selection, showing that they truly care about the quality of their offerings. We've visited twice now for both breakfast and lunch, and both experiences were fantastic. This restaurant is now definitely my top choice in Bairnsdale for delicious food and coffee.

The Stables is a lovely café and art gallery located in a beautiful historic building. They offer a menu that caters to all ages and dietary needs, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. It's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. You can also join art courses upstairs, or browse the impressive collection of local art on display. The cafe is open from 8am to 4:30pm on weekdays and 9am to 3:30pm on Saturdays (hours may vary on public holidays). Don't miss out on Stable Sounds every third Friday of the month, featuring local musical talent.

Let the pictures speak for themselves! I visited this restaurant for breakfast and had trouble deciding what to order. I ended up choosing corn and zucchini fritters with asparagus and poached eggs, along with a perfect cappuccino. I decided to add haloumi as well. It was a delightful surprise in the center of Bairnsdale.

Enjoyable brunch. Had the Flora and Fungo with eggs. Chilli Jam was the hero. Good tea also. Yarra Valley. TEA. Will take some sweets home. Recommended. Fast attentive service. Post notes. Sweets were great and I bought some jams to take home.
