Bidra med feedback...not only applies in the great things of life (Gatt:in, dog, house, car, but also in gastronomy. This has recently been confirmed when we decided to visit the Ganesha in Baden Baden Baden instead of our previous Indian favorite Taj Tandoori. After the restaurant had first noticed us from Langen Strasse, we realized that you have to walk outside to Luisenstraße. There you can climb a slightly twisted staircase up to a balcony where you can sit outside. (We also saw a sign to an elevator, but not verified it. The ambience of the two restaurants could hardly be more different: while the Taj Tandoori is consistently held in blue/white, one overwhelms the goosesha with the consoled color sense of the subcontinent, a splendour that would mercilessly classify the europeanly conditioned eye as a kitsch if it were not so wonderful (Las Vegas Effect). Ganesha, the one-to-one elephant god, is a positive phenomenon: Dick and round and facing pleasure, there could hardly be a more suitable name for a restaurant. Directly under him we should feel very comfortable in the following hour, which could not prevent the relatively loud retorting sounding of Indian instrumental music better. This was also a special experience for our little one, because he was allowed to sit on the bench next to my wife all the time. This was something different than always to lie under the table, especially on a day started as unpleasant as this, on which the threads had been pulled after a small, bead-specific intervention. There have been orders for loud things that we could reasonably be certain that they would taste us both (the retention of my wife to Indian cuisine I have already addressed several times here: Three different main dishes, with two varieties of bread and yogurt; as always more in such cases than was available to us in capacity. The curries were served in beautiful, copper-colored pots and warm with tea lights. In the drinks, we moved to 5,90 € with a 0.75 bottle of Gerolsteiner; Lassi would've made us sick. The choice of my loved ones fell on butter chicken (15,90 € , a dish where you can make little wrong if you like it mildly and fairy. To the famous Chicken Tikka Masala, it is not far from here, except that the chicken breast pieces are not necessarily baked in tandoor, for example in Ganesha. Especially many weren't. On the other hand, the very nutritious tomatoes butter sauce were very generous. As expected, no aroma fireworks and therefore for my wife just the right thing. My cheerful eye remained on one side with duck dishes, an animal that is rarely found in Indian restaurants, neither in Germany nor in India. And indeed my duck Palak (Spinat, €17.90 looked like she had been cut into the usual slices in a China snack; that it is a delusion from the Indian Chinese border area may be considered unlikely. But also here you can duck: The crispy bird juicy under the skin was a smooth 10 on the Asian scale. The herb spinach offered the meat slices an adequate bed, even without a paneer (skin cheese with which it is usually served. We also ordered one of our favorite vegetables, Bhindi Masala (Okra, 14,90 €). We both like Okra, the crisp bite of the seeds and the sticky flesh of the pod are always fun, and this masala was especially well seasoned. I love you... This rich meal was rounded off by Kheera Raita (4,50 € , with cucumber, coriander and cinnamon of made yogurt, which actually always belonged to an Indian food. That I wanted to take a photo, I only fell in after I had knocked a spoon on my plate. I would like to mention the delicious mint sauce from the Chutneys that always belong to it. Although the curries were served with basmatiries, we couldn't wait to order two more breads. My wife actually wanted Garlic Naan, but then switched to Butter Naan (3,90 € ), with regard to the beautician with whom she intended to spend the next and a half hours. I asked again about Aloo Paratha, the bread bread filled with potato, baked in the pan. This was not true, but Namaste Naan (4.50 €, also filled with potatoes and from the tandoor. Never seen, so with namaste! greeted and fed with pleasure. Like everything at this very successful lunch. The house scored good notes not only when eating, but also in cleanliness: It rarely happens that my wife, who does not give sympathy points in hygiene matters, so overly praises the toilets. Also the service by the young waitress was impeccable, and not only because she had immediately made friends with our companion. It seems that we have found a new Indian favorite restaurant here, not only for Baden Baden, but at all.
Many vegetarian and vegan dishes. very tasty and the staff is super friendly.
All vegetarian dishes on the menu are called vegan. the staff is also nice and helpful. I have tried several vegan dishes and they are all very good. definitiw an enrichment for the cities non-so-vegan restaurant culture.
