Bidra med feedbackDue to family in the area I have visited this place regularly over the last years. It's got a rather modern style decor, so if you expect some dingly-dangly traditional Thai restaurant with colorful decorations and oriental background music you'll be surprised. The quality of the food, the friendliness, food selection, and cleanliness of My Thai are all top class. Portion sizes are decent, not too much but easily filling. It's a restaurant I would recommend to my boss to dine at. Why only 4 stars? Even though the prices are still within limits considering the proximity of Frankfurt, it's gotten measurably more expensive within the last 3 years. I understand that there is inflation, and restaurants in general were hit really hard during Covid, but we watched (and have gotten take-out from) My Thai during the pandemic, and from my point of view business had never slowed down. Their delivery orders seemed to be booming, and as far as I know they never shut down. Also, considering that they have a couple more restaurants, it seems they actually had a good business going. So now to raise prices like that feels a bit like trying to take advantage of the general price hike to increase profit. A bummer since this is the only bad aftertaste dining at this restaurant leaves behind.
Love the spacious restaurant...good for family restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the dishes to your table. Great set up, but the food was just mediocre. Soup was salty and tasteless. Appetizers were good but so small portion that very hard to share with family. Other dinner dishes were just ok...don't consider them as original Thai foods. Don't order the thai ice team, no good at all. Ambience is good. I give them 3.5 stars. If they improve the dishes little bit, I would give them 4.5 or even 5 stars. They have good parking lot too. They have everything they need to be a great restaurant if they improve their recipe and few minor management improvements. Price is reasonable.
I liked the food. Service and atmosphere are OK and everything is clean.
I have no idea why this place has in general such good reviews. Staff is ok, but didn't inform us that the way how you order is different here. The first 20 minutes we were there waiting and nobody bothered to tell us that you'll have to order at the counter. The interior is ok, but very neutral and could also be in any other restaurants regardless of the cuisine served. Menu is ok as such but misleading as Pad Thai is served with pawns (according to the menu on the internet) but in reality and according to the menu in the restaurant with shrimps. The Pad Thai resembles real Pad Thai but the taste is not met at all! We also that chicken with sweet and sour sauce which was more sweet and sweet than anything else not to mention the tast which was acceptable if really hungry but didn't taste like Thai food! Recommendation: go there if you're starving, otherwise no way!
It is good Thai food but nothing spectacular. I have an impression that the taste of the meals vary from day to day. Perhaps some chefs cook better than the others.
