Johanniter - Bad Mergentheim

Location Parking Right in front of Bad Mergentheim am Freibad is a large parking lot for campers. The old town is about a 20-minute walk from the spa park. In the middle is the Gasthof Johanniter. The inn is divided into two rooms. Smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms. Smoothing can happen with the sink. We can sit in the next room. Both the tables and the chairs are bright red. The walls are tiled to half height and the windows decorate country gardens. Old big pictures hang on the walls. Service Two young ladies take over the service quickly and accommodatingly. One of them, the quieter and sovereign, is the head of the house. The younger one is over-motivated and runs from table to table. Everything goes very hard on stage when a travel company arrives. Also with criticism you can handle very well here for our unheated plates, there was an apology and a discount at the end. Foods Wild dishes are considered the speciality of the house. We have already seen a shield with haxen and potato salad from the outside for €9.50. Unfortunately we have the answer when ordering that there is only Thursday and the shield was forgotten to remove. The boss ordered a last haxe for us in the kitchen. We were not disappointed either. The witch is dressed appealing, wonderful pink and the meat super delicate. The sauce was unfortunately fast cold, through the unheated plate. The potato salad had been made with abundant vinegar. As a second dish, we chose the wild boar maul bag with mixed salad and also potato salad (13,20 €). The wild boar mushroom filling was very good, but the packaging reminded more of an omelet of the dough than of mouth pockets. The mixed salad was very coarse, unevenly cut and not very resource-friendly. Since the service had a lot to do and I didn't want to warm up Haxe, I turned against the cold sauce when it was deleted. Immediately the service shot into the kitchen to ask why the sauce was cold. When you came back, the mistake was added and a drink was offered to me as an excuse. I refused, thanks for eating my witch and salad. When we wanted to pay later, the service was happy with the bill and told me you had taken a drink on the bill. I was deeply impressed by this approach for the customer. Thanks again. Conclusion Traditional guest house with very friendly service and good kitchen.

We live close and are very often there. The food is just brilliant. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. The service is really very nice and accommodating. We always love it!
