Rhein-residenz - Bad Breisig

Beautiful terrace overlooking the Rhine. Very friendly staff. Eat delicious.

One of the few restaurants, whose chef has more than salad for vegetarian food.We had the asparagus porridge with pasta. Very delicious!

Unfortunately, I can only forgive 1 star. Planned was a romantic 4 day holiday part of the wedding trip and 1 more common in this 3 star hotel. 2 months in advance was a double room with double bed incl. Balcony Terrace with Rhine view. Unfortunately we didn't get such a room. We became an apartment in the entrance kitchen furniture that could not be built or connected by the craftsman and 2 single beds, separated from each other in the room. In our admiration or disappointment we got to hear after complaint at the reception you had to tell us or if we had known it. It is of course out of question that the hotel guest is obliged to do so when booking a double room with a double bed, to justify this in any way. In case of overbooking and rebooking for renovations, the hotel would of course have to approach the hotel guest and articulate this at least in advance. We were then offered a moving option the next day, but this would have been without a booked Rheinblick. A mattress was so sturdy that it was impossible to sleep. When the next morning we were awakened by the painters who apparently renovated the neighboring room, we decided to check out after only one night and 300 km of arrival. After this misconduct and false submission, we would have at least one opposite or Culancy awaits hotel room costs. Even the parking fee was charged to the cents.The breakfast does not correspond to the breakfast of a 3 star hotel. Perhaps this is still due to any Corona rules? Prefabricated sausages and cheese variations on plates packed with freshening foil covered. It has not been mentioned what is preferred or not. What's on the plate??? It gives the impression that this is already directed on the eve and stored in the refrigerator for as long as. If you were vegetarians or vegans... It wasn't asked about it or something like that. No jam, no fresh fruit for muesli etc. The very friendly senior manager and the cleaning staff should be highlighted positively. The great location right on the Rhine bank, in the middle of the promenade and numerous restaurants are very beautiful.Very shame, with a little more touch and empathy on the part of the hotel, despite false rooms, terrible bed and craftsmen, would still have been a good assessment from my side. We are all human beings and mistakes, only the correct handling of these must be learned or lie in the blood. Here both were not the case. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the hotel.

Beautiful hotel right on the Rhine promenade, room something came in the years but clean and well maintained, the staff at breakfast and during room cleaning very friendly, good simple breakfast. Too bad we found that on the day of departure no one was at the reception to ask if everything was okay in the 7 days, and such a good morning and a good home trip would have been nice.
