Jagerstube - Bacharach

Here they get well-conventional simple German food. it is well prepared and presented. locals are common, so always a good sign. it is immaculately clean with a friendly reception. only cash.

A simple but hearty German food, from which you never get tired. I had a pork dish with red cabbage, kartoffel and gurken, along with a crippled dark beer. my wife tried a cordon bleu with late tent and a glass of white wine from the region. both were very delicious. excellent service, very attentive.

A simple restaurant, in the round a pub with attached dining corner, with simple meals to cheap trips. no more, but no less. some of the pictures on tripadvisor (the with the frescoes) are apparently from another gas station. the service was fast, but unfortunately not very precise.

We are randomly in november in bacharach. the city is almost closed. it is hard to walk and find a restaurant because they are closed. I hope the season doesn't last forever. we stayed at the rheinhotel, which is itself a good stay and a good restaurant. this evening we went through the city and found (without counting our hotel / restaurant) only 2 open restaurants. zeus and jagerstube. we decided for the jagerstube, because it was close to our hotel and we had no desire to eat Greek. the restaurant had locals, which is usually a good sign. we sat in the dining area, since the front is rather pub-like then restaurant. I had cordon bleu pork and my wife had carving with mushroom sauce. both an excellent choice. we also had a giant wine from the region. I'm not a wee type, but that was good. 1.1 liter bottle. looked as big as it sounded and cost only 14€. our total bill was below 42€. we went on to the one and went on to the other and try this place when they went to bacharach. fun. .

So happy that we found this little place! we stopped on a day when we strolled through this beautiful little town, and we had such a great food. the waiter I think he is probably one of the owners, was very friendly and helpful (we don't speak German). I had an excellent fish dish with mushrooms, potatoes and salad. my travel companion had the Camembert app with berries and other tasty along with a delicious tomato soup. would definitely come back to bacharach and eat here again in any case!
