Casual Friday Wines - Azle

We were able to bring in our own food for the dinner, while they took care of the drinks, including wine, water, and sodas. My husband couldn't get enough of their chianti! Someone indulged a bit too much that evening (haha), and Tiia kindly allowed us to leave our car there so we could pick it up the next morning.

They have a lovely patio where you can enjoy a drink, and we really liked the Cabernet we had.

Next, we ordered the brisket sandwich, but surprisingly, we weren't provided with any silverware or napkins—just a spoon for the soup. While the food menu looked promising, unfortunately, nothing we tried was satisfactory. We were really looking forward to experiencing another winery, but we left feeling very disappointed. We won't be returning. Update: I want to clarify that I was not given silverware and I didn't order a cheese board. There was a woman who seemed to enter what looked like the kitchen. I'm sorry if it seems like I was sent here to write a bad review, but that’s not the case—I genuinely wanted to enjoy this winery because it looked lovely and peaceful from the outside.

The Parker County Pickers is a group of local musicians, mostly songwriters, mostly older folks. This venue had advertised an open mic last Sunday which was the reason I went. It wasn 't an open mic though. It turns out it was a fully acoustic song circle outdoors. No sound system meant you really couldn 't hear the singing very well amid the outdoor noises; yes! It seemed to serve them best to put us out in the heat from 12-3pm on the back gazebo area. It was 100 degrees that day. After 2 hours due to the heat several of us began to get uncomfortable and I almost fainted. I left early :(I can think of many things that would have made the event a better value for my efforts and everyone involved. I loved the venue but never got to enjoy it. What do you say, Casual Friday Wines? Who was responsible for this debacle?
