The Swae & Ivy - Bar & Restaurant - Ayr

Our dinner was top quality as they are using fresh ingredients with creative flair and not over priced. Friendly staff, though food service was a little slow.

Came here with family and the food was wonderful. Particularly enjoyed the prawn and scallop fettuccine for main and peanut parfait for dessert. Candle lit tables and friendly, efficient service, you just can't go wrong. Will definitely return.

We only had 3 entrees between the 2 of us,the food quality and presentation is first class,highly recommend.

This is a fantastic restaurant, which could easily hold its own in a big city, let alone in a small town like this. The food was unbelievably flavoursome, with great combinations of flavours and presented in a true fine dining way. We had the beef cheek gnocchi which i can honestly say was probably the best pasta dish i have ever eaten internationally (including in Italy!). We came here as we come to kitesurf at Alva beach and stayed overnight. We will be coming back for certain as the food here was special, superior to anything we can get in Townsville.

We were traveling up the east coast with my partner and stopped over in Ayr for a few night at caravan park, walking past on the Main Street we gave this place a try.The service was friendly and efficient. The was just so delicious. We had the steak and fettuccini and the donuts for dessert. All i can say is WOW. If we could we would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
