This charming local restaurant offers excellent service and tasty homemade dishes. A great spot for those who appreciate comforting, home-cooked meals!

This diner has a classic, old-fashioned vibe, perfect for coffee lovers. As someone who dresses in an alternative style, I did attract a few curious glances, but that's to be expected. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant with a great crowd. They prepare their gravy from scratch, and there's a fantastic selection of pies. I'll definitely be returning a few more times.

The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I will definitely dine here again when I'm back in town.

Good food friendly people and couple real nice waitress

I drove here from New Carlisle, IN, to, among other things, try Brunzeez fried mushrooms. I was intrigued by their mushrooms because they resemble the best fried mushrooms I have ever had at a Carbondale restaurant no longer in business. I am pleased to say they did not disappoint!!! These are a little bigger, a little more moist and not quite as seasoned as the others but they hit the spot! If the others were a 10, these are a solid 9.2.
