Bidra med feedbackI've visited this establishment a few times over the years, but recently I've started going more often with my new girlfriend to play pool and enjoy some drinks. The prices are reasonable, and after a few beers, I treated myself to an Irish coffee with Jameson whiskey. The staff is friendly, though the service is limited to the bar. During every visit, I noticed there was no table service, which could be nice on busier nights when there's live music. Additionally, despite their efforts, they seem to struggle with keeping the pool tables level, and on some nights, the tables even eat your quarters.
This quaint little bar is a perfect spot to just be yourself—or even someone completely different. My friends and I have chosen this charming dive for our semi-monthly Tarted Up Tuesday escapades. The first time I visited, I was “Blonde Monika with a K,” trying to relive the glory days of high school before my not-so-great marriage to the high school football star. I met Appolonia, whose long black curls and daring low-cut top certainly turned heads. The next time, I transformed into “Purple Daveen” in unicorn attire and mingled with the vivacious pink Mia and the spirited redhead, Fara (along with our men, of course). Each visit is a blast! We might get a few curious glances from locals (who we hope to join as regulars someday), but there’s never any trouble—just the chance to make new friends. The bartender has always been fantastic, quick, and serves strong drinks. And who doesn’t enjoy a little “Unicorn Cum” every now and then? It would be great if they served that drink with a spoon or one of those big milkshake straws to savor every last drop. On our last visit, we even brought in our own Pieous Pizza. The bar features an excellent jukebox where Mia loves to spin her favorite Motown tracks, plus a couple of pool tables for some fun. I really hope Tarted Up Tuesdays continue for a long time—I have plenty more personas to explore!
I have been a patron of this bar for more than 10 years, and the salty brunette bartender is only half the draw. The customers make the bar, and they give you a heartfelt welcome whether you are newcomers or old timers. Long may her neon light the darkness.
What an amazing spot! I can't comment on the food because I was informed that the only "food" here is the kind you drink from a glass. That's just fine with me—I'll take a wild turkey medium rare and a Shiner draft on the side! The bartender is fantastic, and the service is excellent. They play real country music here, which adds to the atmosphere. If you happen to get into a scuffle, just roll with it; you can’t have a true Texas bar experience without a little action. If you lose your drink, just drink faster! I will definitely be returning!
You wouldn't think that you could get a five star burger here, but I have been back three times for it !! It's a small boot scoot'n bar off 290 going towards dripping springs but still in Austin. The staff are friendly and very happy to have you there. You can play pool or put some coins into the juke box while your personal burger is being cooked up in the back. The cook is proud to serve his delicious burger and takes pride in his art ! It's a treasure of a find and not crazy busy. You can relax and enjoy your meal
