O-genki Japanese - Aurora

When I walked in, I held my breath, as the interior resembled Maple Sushi quite a bit, save for the new wall art. However, I was quickly delighted to discover that was about where the similarities ended. The service at O Genki is exceptional. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction and keeps you informed about any potential delays (since this isn't an all-you-can-eat restaurant, everything is made fresh to order, including items like yam tempura rolls). The spicy miso soup is absolutely incredible and has become something I often crave. They also offer a fantastic lunch combo, where you can get two different rolls for just $11. Whether you're in the mood for a sit-down meal or a to-go order, O Genki is a must-visit for your sushi cravings.

I recently moved to Aurora and was really missing the fantastic sushi from Richmond Hill and Markham. While out for a walk, I discovered O Genti and I'm thrilled to say that I can now satisfy my sushi cravings nearby! The sushi is fresh, the rice is perfect, and there's a great variety of rolls to choose from. The owners are very friendly as well. I hope everyone gets a chance to try this place; it's my favorite among all the options in the area!

Finding good sushi and sashimi can be a challenge, but I believe I've found it here. I don't often travel this stretch of Yonge St. near Wellington, so I would have overlooked this place if it weren't for the large, eye-catching sign. I decided to stop by for a late dinner, and the restaurant was almost empty, which made me a bit concerned. However, the warm welcome and friendly service reassured me, so I decided to stay. I ordered the Chirashi bowl, which featured a delightful assortment of sashimi on a bed of rice. The sliced octopus was particularly tender, a pleasant surprise compared to many other sushi spots I’ve visited. I also tried the spicy miso soup, which was definitely on the hotter side for my taste. Overall, this restaurant shows great promise, and I look forward to returning.
